Join 3RockD in helping support 5 US colleges competing to build Viet Nam's first "Green Village"

The Green Village Challenge Program was developed by 3rd Rock Development Company LLC to collaborate with universities, international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), and non-profit entities to provide research capabilities, resources and expertise to organizations and entities engaged in the sustainable urban development industry. James Spencer, Director, Globalization Research Center and Professor of Urban & Regional Planning and Political Science, at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa and Diem Van Groth developed the idea of the Green Village Challenge as a way to involve students in real-life projects that merged coursework with actual development experience.

Funding for this practicum comes from the generous contribution of foundations, companies, private donations, grants and other sources and entities that support US students by providing resources that bring their education out of the classroom and apply it to the real world. The University of Hawaii Foundation is the practicum fiscal sponsor and manages all donations and financial accounting of funds that support the Green Village Challenge. All proceeds are tax-deductible and contributions should be made out to: University of Hawaii Foundation- Green Village Challenge.
